Those pickles I made earlier this year were just unreal. The 2 jars with the peppers in them turned out perfect. I wish I made more than 1 jar of each. This year I will make as many as I can. I could not buy pickles in the store that good.

This year I will start tracking the peppers on this site from seedlings to maturity. And try to grow about 10-15 varieties. I Taking an inventory of my seeds yesterday. It's amazing how many seeeds I have from my original plants.

End of July - deck shot Posted by Picasa

The Naga's. not red yet and no signs of color change Posted by Picasa

Scotch Bonetts - just starting to change color now - notice the tip of the big one just starting to go orange Posted by Picasa

A lot of orange devils growing. I ate one raw yesterday a real tiny one the size of a marble. I figured it wouldn't be as hot as the larger ones. I was wrong - it felt like my tongue was about to fall off. This pepper creeps up on you, with the Ring of fire it's heat I could feel right away, but this started slow and kept getting hotter and hotter and hotter. Just unreal.

I had to break out to milk and bread to put out the fire. Posted by Picasa

A self starter that was in a box planter I hand on the deck from last years crop. Inside the box many seedling started from old peppers that had fallen into the planter. - it's too late in the season but i pulled the biggest one out and I will see what happens. - this should be a Napali Orange Posted by Picasa

Its hot.. must be Banana Pepper Posted by Picasa

A hot pepper, I picked one early and it was mild to me. We will see in a few months if the heat increases.

Unknown & not tasted yet. Posted by Picasa

I receive about 16 small plants in one container from my grandmother, She said they were Hungarian but wasn't sure as someone else had given them to her. She plant a huge garden every year with just about everything and all the neighborhood swaps plants.

So I currently do not know what this is. I figured they were all of the same variety but I got 5 of this type and 11 of the other which I know is hot as I tried it already.

Plenty of Ring of Fire  Posted by Picasa

Plenty of peppers on this Ring of fire. I made a nice sauce out of 2 a few days ago.
